How to Find Us
SatNav CT2 9HU
See below for details of how to find us from all imaginable directions (and by foot from the University campus)
From Canterbury
Travel towards Whitstable on the A290. When you get to the centre of the village of Blean (look out for a row of shops over to the right) turn right into that road (Tyler Hill Road) and drive past the shops. Continue along the road, now with the Recreation Ground/Memorial Field on your left. Continue for about 400m and, more or less at the point when there are no more buildings either side of the road, you will see (on the right) the green Blean Church indicator board. The church and car park is at the end of the lane beneath the sign.
From Rough Common (Canterbury)
Turn left at the mini-roundabout at the 'schools' end of Rough Common Road, and follow the instructions above.
From Whitstable/the A299
Turn south towards Canterbury on the A290, observing 40mph speed limit which is actively enforced. On arrival in the centre of the village of Blean you will encounter a well-lit zebra crossing. Turn left immediately after this (Tyler Hill Road), and a row of shops will appear on your left. Drive past the shops and continue for about 400m and, more or less at the point when there are no more buildings either side of the road, you will see (on the right) the green Blean Church indicator board. The church and car park is at the end of the lane beneath the sign.
From Tyler Hill (along Tyler Hill Road)
Your arrival in the village of Blean is indicated by a village sign (on the left) and a cottage (on your right). Look out for the green church indicator sign in the vicinity, and be ready to turn left into the lane which leads to the church and car-park.
From the University Campus (by foot)
Walk to the far end of the Park Wood Estate, until you can see the car park by The Oaks Nursery. Do not enter the car park, but follow the wide footpath which runs along the side of The Oaks Nursery, so the Oaks Nursery site and fence is on your left hand side (with the hedge and main playing field on your right). Continue along the footpath (watch out for cyclists) into the 'countryside'. It soon starts to decline into a dip with a bridge over a stream. Cross the bridge, and continue to follow the wide footpath as it rises up a hill. The church is at the top of the hill, immediately to your left. Journey time from The Oaks Nursery is less than 10mins.
